VEHICLE SERVICE CONTRACT MAIL & TELEPHONE SOLICITATIONS

Our Servco locations have seen an increase in customer calls regarding recent telephone or mail solicitations for vehicle service contracts. Service contracts purport to cover specified issues after the manufacturer's warranty expires. The contracts vary from provider to provider and often include very broad exceptions.

There has been an influx of third-party vehicle service contract companies soliciting consumers via phone calls and mailers. One company, Motor Vehicle Services, recently began a mail campaign in Hawaii that includes mailings to Servco customers. The Better Business Bureau has issued a consumer alert about these companies and their tactics. These companies are not associated with, or endorsed by, Servco in any way.
